we woke up at 6am... in time to meet our tourguide and driver at 7am for this wonderful journey into Angkor Wat... it really is magnificient.. used to be one of the wonders of the world..full of history..kings...empires...temples..religion.. there's just too much to digest as the tour guide patiently explained with his good English.. we really appreciated his effort to try hard to speak clearly without having their local accent so that we can understand what he is talking.. extremely commendable!i'll let the pics do the talking :)

b)BAYON

we went off via car to Bayon temple within the park after spending 2 hrs over at Angkor Wat.. Basically, this park contains many temples.. and they are not within walking location.. u either travel by tuktuk, moto, or by car..much more convenient and save u the hassle from walking under the scorching sun.. u may be wondering why are we wearing long sleeves when is like such a hot day.. but.. mosquitoes-defence.. tat's why... u can hear them buzzing around yr ears.. knnowing that is a dengue-high area.. we just have to be cautious and bear with the heat sigh..

before proceeding on to the next temple.. i got to mention something that freaks me like never before.. from forum.. we did know that whenever tourists are at Angkor Wat..they will be bombarded by little children asking you to buy food..hat..souvenirs from them... there's this girl in teens who ask for my name when I left the car for Angkor Wat.. i said i dun wan.. she say she will wait for me at the car.. and when i returned.. she come pester me till i enter the car quickly.. we brought along a bag of sweets.. thinking to give each kid we encounter 2 or 3 sweets.. but...gosh.. when we bring out the bag of sweets.. we were SWARMED.. and i do mean.. SWARMED.. they keep calling out to us: give us ! give me! give 3!...give 5!..give 10!...give me all! even after u gave them.. they still say not enough... to be frank..i was kinda irritated at tat juncture.. but after leaving them.. i feel.. well... if they have a choice.. they wun be like this perhaps.. is just a different way of living..

c) Ta Prohm

this is the temple which the Tombraider show by Angelina Jolie was filmed.. Many tourists came to look at what's so great about this temple after the show as mentioned by the tourguide.. i do think is truly interesting at what nature can do...check these out..

we spent the entire morning and early afternoon in this park..totally enlightening trip which we have reaped much intellectual rewards from.. we do truly enjoy despite the heat haha..

2.Landmine Museum..

we went to the Cambodia Land Mine Museum after the park.It was founded by Aki Ra, a former Khmer Rouge soldier, who has been actively defusing landmines and ordance(weapons) throughout Cambodia since 1994.The museum really gave us an overview of the dangers lurking in Cambodia.. why is it occuring.. how.. its history.. the present situation.. and the noble effort by Aki Ra and his friends who have to bear the danger of being killed or maimed by landmines while detonating them..truly respectable man..by seeing those bombs and mines.. you cant help but respect him...

the reality...there's this victim of the landmine in the museum.. we talked to him and learnt more about the history..it is definitely heart-wrenching to know the harsh reality i must say..

3.Apsara Dance and Buffet..

we went to this buffet at Jasmine Angkor Restaurant in the evening.. how we made our way there is totally a brand new occurence for me.. haha.. we went there by motorbike.. i was quite skeptical of this driver's skills..wondering if he will do stunts.. drive dangerously or wat.. phew.. is totally an experience that i never forget.. moving through the sandy roads and brushing across the nightlife of Siem Reap..buffet was not bad..dance was spectacular!
